Crouch" ********************************** Obituary: "Brief Illness Fatal To Curran Crouch - Was Member of Pioneer Bath County Family" Curran Crouch, 76 years old, died at the Mary Chiles hospital at Mt. Sterling Thursday afternoon, November 16, after a week's illness. After becoming ill at his home here, Mr. Crouch was first removed to the Mt. Sterling hospital and then on to Lexington and was later returned to Mt. Sterling, where he died. He was the son of the late Casper and Nancy Cassity Crouch and was a native of Bath county, where he spent his entire life. He was a well known farmer and engaged in the coal business in Owingsville for a number of years. He came of one of the county's pioneer families. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lella Horseman Crouch, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Agnes Crouch, Owingsville; one son, Richard Crouch, Lemington, Ont., and one sister, Mrs. Martha tribou, of this county. Funeral services were held at the Barnes & reynolds funeral home Saturday afternoon, November 18, conducted by the Rev. George C. Frey and the Rev. W. J. Kenney. Interment was in the Bailey graveyard. Pall bearers were Walter Shrout, Nick Corbin, Albert Moody, Newton P. Reid, Burns Tackett and Elnier Stone.
