Week of November 5-November 12, 1998 Carrie Crouch, age 85, passes away at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home Carrie Norris McCarty Crouch, age 85, of 5783 E. highway 60, Owingsville, passed way Tuesday, October 27, 1998 at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Crouch was born November 6, 1912 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Clyde and Lizzie McCarty Norris. She was a housewife, a member of the Salt Lick First Church of God and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was the widow of the late "Rusty" McCarty and the late Dick Crouch. Survivors include one sister, Lena Greer of Muncie, IN.; one brother, Medford Norris of Mt. Summit, IN; several nieces and nephews including, Gay Goldy of Owingsville, Danny Goldy of Hillsboro and Talmage Johnson of Mebane, NC: and special friends, Walter and Sue Bonta of Salt Lick. Funeral services was Friday, October 30, 1998 at Salt Lick First Church of God with Rev. Cordell Link officiating. Burial was in the Jones Cemetery. Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
