The Owingsville Outlook, a newspaper published out of Bath Co., KY Thursday August 10, 1905
Edward Cartmill...living with his mother Mrs. Sallie Cartmill of Upper Prickly 
Ash...had typhoid and came to town to see a physician...stayed with mother in 
law Mrs. Lou Pieratt...expired Monday morning...Burial in Cartmill 
Cemetery...he was aged about 28 years and the son of John Cartmill 
deceased.Survivors include wife Ora a two year old daughter, his brothers: 
Letcher, Wallace and James, sisters: Mrs. Elsie Stone, Mrs. B.F. Piersall, and 
Miss Annie...
