Jan. 17, 2002, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born July 2, 1929 in Bath Co., the son of the late Nathan and Elsie Griggs Flannery. He was a retired employee of the Whirlpool Corp. and was a member of the Mudlick Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Frances Crouch Flannery; four sons, Mitchell and wife Becky Flannery, of Kimmell, IN, Rudy and wife Phyllis Flannery, of Nicholasville, Rockey and wife Maggie Flannery of Olympia, and Arlie Steven and wife Missy Flannery of Olympia; one sister, Mary Smith of Olympia; two brothers, Ray Becraft of Ohio, and Carrol Becraft of Olympia; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard, Paul, Leondis and Wilburn Flannery. Funeral services were conducted Sun., Jan. 20, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mudlick Church of God with Rev. Mark Caldwell, Lawrence Arnett, Jr, Jim Reffitt and Jerry Williams officiating. Burial we in Griggs Cemetery.
