Lucy Purvis Goodpaster 
Bath County News-Outlook Thursday May 12, 1938 
Mrs. Espy Goodpaster Dies At Forge Hill 
   Mrs. Lucy Goodpaster, 40 years old, died at her home near Forge Hill 
Tuesday, May 10, after a short illness. 
   Deceased was the wife of Espy Goodpaster and a daughter of Samuel and 
Lucinda Craycraft Purvis. 
   Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday afternoon, May 11, 
conducted by the Rev. Herbert Moore.  Burial was at Old Virginia graveyard. 
   Besides her husband she is survived by six children.
