Week of October 29-November 5, 1998 Deward Hamilton, age 75, passes away, at St. Claire Medical Center Deward Scott Hamilton, age 75, formerly of Peasticks community, passed away Friday, October 23, 1998 at St. Claire Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1923 in Morgan County to the late Clifford and Flossie Everman. He was a farmer. Survivors include one nephew, Jimmie Dale Hamilton of Owingsville; one niece, Claudia Meyer of Loyal, Oklahoma. Visitation was Wednesday, October 28, 1998 from 6 to 8 p.m. with private graveside services in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel. Richardson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. *Notes from niece, Claudia Meyer: He always went by "Scott". My information states he was born in Bath County however this has not been verified. His parents were Verne Clifford Hamilton and Flossie Everman Hamilton. There is apparently another nephew in Lexington, however at the time of this writing, I have not located him.
