Week of November 5-November 12, 1998 Wanda Hamilton, age 69, passes away at Bourbon Community Hospital Wanda Duncan Hamilton, age 69, of Jackstown Rd., Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 1998 at Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris. She was born in Nicholas County to the late Everett C. and Lorene Stephenson Duncan, was a farmer, housewife, homemaker, loving wife and mother, a member and Elder of Moorefield Christ Church (Disciples of Christ) and member of the Bourbon County Homemakers. Survivors include her husband, Charles K. Hamilton, one daughter, Lona H. (Jimmy) Sadler of Nicholas County; one son, Gary D. ( Lisa) Hamilton of Bath County; one step-son, Mike (Judy) Hamilton of Pineville; five grandchildren, Seth, Brennan and Caleb Sadler, Sara Hamilton and John Michael Hamilton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Cecil Duncan. Funeral services were Saturday, October 31, 1998 at Mathers- Gaunce Funeral Home with Rev. Sue McCracken and Rev. Church Perry officiating. Burial was in the Carlisle Cemetery. Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
