Week of October 29-November 5, 1998 (Raymond Lee Jones, Deward Scott Hamilton, Witten H. Copher) Raymond Lee Jones, age 66, passes away at his residence, after a long illness Raymond Lee Jones, age 66, of 3132 Kendall Springs Rd., Owingsville, Ky., passed away October 19, 1998 at his residence. He was born November 3, 1931 in Montgomery County to the late Emery and Sarah Staton Jones. He was a retired farmer, member of Owingsville Church of Christ and was on the Farm Bureau Board and FSA board of directors and Korean War Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Crouch Jones of Kendall Springs; three step-sons, Ronnie Norris of Judy, Dennis Norris and Tony Norris both of Sharpsburg; one step-daughter, Debbie Stigall of Sugar Grove; three brothers, Harold Jones of Kendall Springs, Jimmie Jones of Middletown, Ohio and Carl "Buster" Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins; 11 step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Jones Ginter; and a brother LaRue Jones. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 22, 1998 at Richardson Funeral Home with Bro. Rupert Warren, Bro. Everett Donaldson and Bro. Justin Imel officiating. Burial was in the Owingsville Cemetery with Military graveside rites by local VFW. Contributions suggested to Owingsville Church of Christ, St. Claire Hospice in Morehead, Ky. or the Cancer Fund. Richard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
