  Mary D. Lathram, age 96, of Owingsville, passed away Jan. 7, 2002 at Mary 
Chiles Extended Care Facility.  A native of Bath Co., she was born on March 4, 
1905 to the late G.R. and Annie (McClain) Gray.  She was a retired school 
teacher and long time Sunday School teacher at the Owingsville Christian 
Church, where she was a member.  She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma 
Society, a member of Nite Homemakers, the first woman City Council member of 
Owingsville and a member of the Owingsville Woman's Club.  
  Preceding her in death was her husband George Lathram.
  Survivors include: one daughter, Nancy Allen Rawlings, Lexington; three 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
  Funeral Services were held at the Ritchie Hunt Funeral Home on Wed., Jan. 9, 
2002 at 11 a.m.  Officiating were Rev. Lowell Rice and Rev. Willard Johnson.  
Burial was at the Owingsville Cemetery.
