  Gladys M. Maze, 86, of Salt Lick, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at 
Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home, in Owingsville, after a long illness.
  Maze was born December 25, 1915, in Bath County, the daughter of the late 
John Maze and the late Addie Robinson Maze.  She was a member of the 
Polksville Church of God and was the widow of Earl Maze.  In addition to her 
husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Swim, in 
1990.
  Survivors are two sons, Clifford Maze (wife Helen) and Eugene Maze, both of 
Salt Lick; two sisters, Sophie Gray, of West Union, Ohio, and Jewell McVey, of 
Sharpsburg; one brother, Stanley Maze, of Salt Lick; three grandchildren; two 
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were held Friday, December 20, 2002, at 1 p.m., at the 
Powell Funeral Home, in Salt Lick, with the Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating.  
Burial followed in the Polksville Cemetery.
