Garrett Reid, a resident of Bath Co., died on 7 Feb 1955, in Montgomery Co Mrs. Reid Dies Mrs. Julia Garrett Reid, 72, wife of Newt Reid, Bath county farmer of the Peeled Oak section, died at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Mary Chiles hospital, where she was brought a week ago after a fall in which she received a fractured hip. She was a daughter of the late Richard and Nancy Green Garrett, natives of Bath county, and was a life-long member of the Union Christian church at Peeled Oak. Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy R. Keller, Mt. Sterling; Mrs. L. C. Ingram, Hamilton, Ohio; Miss Sallie Reid, Bath county, and Mrs. Lawson Davis, Covington; two sons, W. C. Reid, Lexington, and Newt Paul Reid, Bath county, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Union Christian church at Peeled Oak, with the Rev. Elgin Smith and Rev. Noel Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Machpelah cemetery.
