A native of Rowan county, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Emery Lacy Kissick Rawlings, born on Triplett Creek September 25, 1882. The greater part of his life, however, had been spent in Bath county, where he was a prosperous farmer and an outstanding citizen. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Myers Rawlings, three sisters, Mrs. Richard Lyons, Nicholas county; Mrs. Nellie Razor and Miss Sarah Amanda Rawlings, of this county, and three brothers, Thomas, George and Boone Rawlings, all of Bath. Funeral services will be held at his late residence at 1 o'clock p. m. Friday, February 1, conducted by the Rev. Henry S. Ficklin. Interment will be in the family lot in Longview Cemetery, Bethel.
