Funeral services were held at the residence at 1:00 p.m. Sunday by Elder N. C. Carpenter, after which the interment was made at Marshall cemetery at 2:00 p.m. The pall-bearers were Dr. C. L. Cook, Dr. L. F. Robbins, Allen H, Points, T. B. Staggs, D. H. Hall and T. J. Evans. Deceased was born December 15, 1836. Her maiden name was Myers, she being a granddaughter of Jacob Myers, a Kentucky pioneer, who built the old Slate Furnace about 1792. She was married to Green B. Shouse, one of the most prominent citizens of the Salt Lick neighborhood, and they reared the following children: Issac; Mrs. Press Jackson, deceased; Mrs. W. R. Stephens, Mrs. Robert Dickerson, James Lee, deceased; William Jefferson and Mrs. Boone North. Mr. Shouse died many years ago. Mrs. Shouse was a most estimable lady, enjoying the love and respect of many friends, who sincerely mourn her decease. The Outlook joins in condolences to the bereaved family.
