Stone's Death Mrs. Hiram Ann Stone, wife of J. D. Stone, deceased, died on July 20 about 11 o'clock, of Bright's disease at the home of her son Robert L. Stone, on upper Prickly Ash. Her husband, John D. Stone, died the 9th of April near Carlisle. Mrs. Stone and little granddaughter Willie Boyd Stone came to make their home with her son Robert. She lived only three months, and suffered a great deal. All was done for her that ,physicians relatives and friends could do, but to no avail. She was a devoted wife and mother and had been a member of the Christian Church for many years. She was 64 years old and leaves four sons: R. L.; William and Lindsay, of near Carlisle; and Edwin, of Ridge Farm, Ill. They were all with her in her last hours. Her four daughters preceded her to the grave several years. The remains were buried in the Carlisle cemetery.
