A native of this county and a life long resident here, he had suffered a paralytic stroke some years ago and had been in poor health since that time. He was committed to the hospital just a year ago. Besides his wife, Mrs. Rhoda Shrout, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nealie Rakes, Mrs. George Parks, and Mrs. Ed Ginter, and four sons, Clay, Raymond, Clell and Joe Shrout. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Mormon Chapel followed by burial in the Owingsville cemetery.
