Week of November 12-November 19, 1998 David Shrout, age 70, passes away, at his residence after an apparent heart attack David E. Shrout, age 70, of 2388 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Owingsville, passed away Friday, November 6, 1998 at his residence after an apparent heart attack. He was born March 8, 1928 to the late Claude Shrout and Nona Otis Shrout. He was a native of Bath County, farmer, director of Salt Lick Deposit Bank for 28 years, member of the Moores Ferry Church of Christ, Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Salt Lick Masonic Lodge #682. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Corbin Shrout of Owingsville; his mother, Nona Otis Shrout of Owingsville; a special cousin, Dennis Shrout of Salt Lick; several other cousins. Funeral services was Monday, November 9, 1998 at Richie Hunt Funeral Home with Rev. John R. Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Longview Cemetery in Bethel. Masonic rites was held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. by Salt Lick Lodge #682. Richie Hunt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
