Week of November 19-November 26, 1998 Viola Williams, age 73, passes away November 12th Viola (McFarland) Williams passes away Thursday, November 12, 1998 in Greenwood, IN. Born November 15, 1924 to the late Everett and Bessie (Donathan) McFarland in Fixer, KY. She retired from Hart, Schaffer and Marx in Rochester, IN in January 1988 after 25 years of service. After her retirement she stayed at her home in Ora, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Williams and one brother Elbert McFarland of Salt Lick.. Survivors include four children, Roger (Leona) Williams, Arlene (Jack) Standifer, both of Monterey, IN, Bickie (Bill) Stigall of Pebles, OH, and Paul (Theresa) Williams of Winamac, IN, two sisters, Dorothy (Tom) Million and Gertrude (Thomas) Bell of New Castle, IN, two brothers Mort (Naomi) McFarland) of New Castle, IN and Harley (Aleene) McFarland of Salt Lick, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and good friends. Funeral services were held Monday, November 16th and Broman and Son Memorial Chapel with rev. Everett Manns officiating. Burial was in the Ora Cemetery, Ora, Indiana.
