Mr Whaley, 80, Taken By Death

James Grafton Whaley, 80, a retired laborer, died at 9pm Thursday at the
residence of his brother Lucian Whaley, at Midland after a long illness. He was
a native of Bath County and a member of the Union Church.

Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Blanche Carpenter, Ashland, and two brothers,
John Whaley, Moorefield, and Espy Whaley, Eustis, Fla.

Services were conducted at 2pm Saturday at the Richardson Funeral Home by the
Rev. Guy McKenzie. Burial was in the Owingsville Cemetery. Nephews were bearers.
