	In the name of God, I Zachariah Green, being in my reasonable 
health and sound mind and disposing memory do make and form following _____.  First I command my
soul to God and my body to the dust to be buried in Christian form.  
And after all my just debts and funeral expenses are paid, I leave all my 
real and personal estate to my beloved wife, Mary Ann Green so long as 
she remains my widow or choace her thirds or child part.  And after her 
decease to return to our heirs Rachel Jones, heirs to have one dollar
each and Seary Osburn to have ? dollars and Peggy (Bier)? my daughter to 
have one dollar and my daughter Onah Mitchell to have one dollar.  The 
balance of my heirs namely Zachariah Green, Goldsberry Green and Anna 
Green and Mirea Lyman to have an equal share of the balance of all my 
estate after selling the plantation on which I now live and all the rest 
of my property at twelve months credit and should my daughter Mirea Lyman 
die without issue of her body, her part of the estate to fall to my lawful 
heirs except those which are portioned.  The plantation on which John 
Gorrell now lives to remain his and his wife’s Anna Gorrell’s during their 
natural life and after their decease the land to be sold and the money to 
be divided equally between James Gorrell, Mirea Gorrell, Sally Gorrell,
and George Gorrell.  Also I appoint Mary Ann Green and my son Zachariah 
Green to be my executors of this my last will.  Acknowledged to be my last 
will and statement revoking all other wills or bequests heretofore made by 
me this twenty seventh day of October in the year of Our Lord 1834

This instrument of writing purported to be the last will and testament of 
Zachariah Green dec’d was produced and proven in open court by the oaths 
of William F. Roull and James Gregg, witnesses hereto subscribed and 
ordered to be recorded.  Whereupon the same hath been truly recorded in 
my office as the law dictates.
