The Rev. Sam P. Martin and the Rev. W. B. Archer will officiate. Interment will be in the Colson Cemetery. Colson was taken to the Brosheer-Brummett hospital after being fatally wounded by Floyd Ball in Wallace Gastineau's drug store Saturday afternoon. He recovered consciousness but, so far as is known, made no statement having a bearing on the trouble which led to his death. It is reported that there were five wounds in his body. After his death he was taken to Carl Newman's funeral parlor where the body was prepared for burial. The deceased is survived by a wife and six young children; two brothers, Dave and Clay Colson; two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Herd and Mrs. J. P. Brashear; and a number of more distant relatives. Mrs. George Colson is a cousin of Floyd Ball, who shot her husband. Pallbearers for the funeral tomorrow morning will be: Charles G. Smyth, Dave Colson, William Colson, James Bingham, Chesterfield Rains and Doc Chadwell. Floyd Ball, who was incarcerated in the city jail after the shooting, will be there pending the investigation of his case by the grand jury. The inquisitorial body is now in session and it is understood Ball's case will be taken up within the next day or two. Should an indictment be returned, the matter of bond will be taken up. Additional Comments: George Colson was the son of John Calvin and Susan Cottrell Colson and was born 02 January 1888, in Middlesboro, Bell County, Kentucky.
