MELVIN BAILEY

Melvin Bailey, 65, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2004 at his home. He 
was born in Mill Creek on August 2, 1939, the son of the late Letcher and Hila 
Baker Bailey. He was a farmer who raised the most beautiful gardens and had 
worked in construction. He was a wonderful husband and father who was loved 
very much. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, James 
Matthew Watts, sister, Gertrude Bailey and brothers, Andrew J., Walter and 
Letcher Bailey. 
Survivors include his wife, Tishie Brock Bailey, children, Lehman and Joanna 
Bailey, Karen and Clyde Tigue and Jessica and Tommy Christopher; 
grandchildren, Jason Tigue, Gelena Letendre, Tishie Lynn Bailey, Melvin 
Bailey, Virgie Tigue and Hila Tigue; great-grandchildren, A.J. Elliott and 
Mary Letendre; brother, Harvey Bailey and Mary Lou Saylor and special sister-
in-law, Lucille Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and 
friends.
