MELVIN  BROCK



Roark, Ky. - Melvin Brock, 73 passed away on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at the 
Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.



He was born at Beverly on Nov. 12, 1932, the son of the late Arlen and Lutishia 
Helton Brock. He served in the United States Army and had worked for the Bell 
County Highway Department for many years.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and 
sisters, Mabel Brock, Bessie Reed, Jim Brock, Viola Brock and Oma Brock.



Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Thelma Brock; daughter, Della Holland; 
son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Rachel Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, 
other relatives and friends.



Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beverly United Methodist Church with the 
Rev. Elmer Helton presiding.



Burial will be in the Brock Cemetery at Red Bird. Pallbearers will be Hobert 
Asher, Carl Brock, Billy Ray Burns, Henry Sizemore, Jonathan Sizemore, Danny 
Ray Sturgill , Mitchell Sturgill Jr., Randy Miniard and Tony Gross. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Wilkie Saylor, Ralph Saylor and Daugh Sizemore. 







The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Beverly United 
Methodist Church.
