She was born Jan. 3, 1911, at Kettle Island, Ky., the daughter of the late Jim Helton and Betty Johnson Helton. She was married at the Mill Creek School House May 5, 1929 to Tilman Bailey, the son of Everett and Mary Jane Cox Bailey. She believed in the Holiness faith. Survivors include her husband Tilman Bailey, Kettle Island, Ky.; 14 children, Mrs. Irene Collett, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Pauline Hillman and Mrs. Wanda Helton, both of Goodrich, Mich., Vernon P. Bailey, Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Marteen Eldred, Millersburg, Mich., Mrs. Lena Mace, Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Sue Scales, Herman Bailey, Mrs. Kathleen Colvin, and Mrs. Alice Adams all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Doris Couch, Coldsprings, Ky., Danny and Reed Bailey, both of Newport, Ky. and Mrs. Dorothy Wilson, Kettle Island, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. Vergie Caldwell, Mrs. Beulah Bailey, Mrs. Bertha Brock, all of Kettle Island, Ky.; 33 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Durham Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Thea O. Carter and the Rev. Otto Brock officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery, Mill Creek, Ky. Pallbearers will be Darrell Bailey, Vernon Collett, Stephen Hillman, David Couch, Terry Scales and Larry Eldred. Durham Funeral Home, Pineville is in charge of arrangements.
