MILLARD DANIEL DEAN

Mr. Millard Daniel Dean, 84, of Route 5, Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away at 
4:00 AM, Tuesday, March 9, 1971, at a Middlesboro hospital.

Surviving relatives include his widow: Mrs. Mollie (Brooks) Dean, Tazewell; 
daughter, Mrs. Ethel Dean (Garrett H.) Chadwell, Jonesville, Virginia; a son, 
Herbert Dean, Tazewell; sisters, Mrs. Mary Cathern "Katie" Dean (James Luther) 
Akers and Mrs. Pearlie E. Dean (Joseph Arthur Sr.) Akers, both of Pineville, 
Kentucky, and Mrs. Laura Dean (Wiley Lonnie) Chadwell of Middlesboro; 
grandchildren, Mrs. Ora Rowlett, Jonesville, Pascal Dean, Tazewell and Mrs. 
Wilma Montgomery of Tazewell; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, at the Coffey Funeral 
Home Chapel, Tazewell, where the body will lie in state one hour before 
services.  Interment will follow in the Surber Cemetery, Route 5, Tazewell, 
Tennessee.

The family will receive friends this evening at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel 
from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Coffey Funeral Home, Tazewell, Tennessee, is in charge.

Millard Daniel Dean was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dudley 
Ewing Dean and Florence Oregon Brooks Dean of Bell County; a brother, Alva 
Preston Dean of Bell County; two sisters, Mrs. Mossie Dean (James Neal) 
Buchanan and Miss Nannie Latisha Dean of Bell County; and a half-brother, 
Floyd Patton Dean of Kansas.
