ELVIE MARIE MOORE ELLIS

Elvie Marie Moore Ellis, 85, of Kettle Island, passed away on Tuesday, October 
19, 2004 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born in 
Bell County on March 18, 1919 the daughter of the late Eliza Hodge Moor 
Collett and Fred Moore and the step-daughter of Lee Collett. She was a member 
of the Dean Memorial Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman 
Ellis, grandson, Jerry Ellis, brothers and sisters, Edith Smith, John Henry 
Collett, Lee Archer Collett, Lloyd Collett and Alex Moore. 
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Diane Ellis of 
Florence and Arnold and Kathy Ellis of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, five 
great-grandchildren, twin-sister, Elva Lee Smith and a host of nieces, nephews 
and friends. 
Services were Friday at the Dean Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas 
Downer. Burial was in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Pallbearers 
were family and friends. 
The family received friends after 6 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral
