Jaynes, 46 5/20 ST. JOHNS, Ohio - Thomas E. Jaynes, 46, passed away Friday afternoon, May 17, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 12, 1956, in Celina, Ohio, a son of Noble and Julia (Swartz) Jaynes. He married Sherry A. Sharp, who survives, on Nov. 4, 1976. He worked with Genesis World II of New Bremen, Ohio, and was enrolled in computer studies with the Lima Technical College. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1973-1976, during the Vietnam War. A member of the Moulton Gun Club and the St. Johns Fire & Rescue Squad, he was also a former member of the Wapakoneta Eagles #691. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Noble Jaynes; a sister, Darlene Castlen; and a brother, Noble Jaynes Jr. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Julia Jaynes of St. Marys, Ohio; two daughters, Cassie A. Jaynes of St. Johns, Marie (Scott) Huelskamp of Wapakoneta; granddaughter, Sean Rubianne Snook, Wapakoneta; two brothers, Michael Jaynes, New Bremen, Ohio, and Arthur (Diane) Vanette, Spencerville, Ohio; five sisters, Karen (Bill) Rockwell, St. Johns, Janice Jaynes, St. Marys, Diane Luna, Sacramento, Calif., Pam Jaynes, St. Marys, Faith Jaynes, Celina, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Lana (Lonnie) Lamb, Middlesboro, Darlene Payne, Pineville; brothers-in-law, Steve (Cindy) Sharp, St. Marys, and Kevin Sharp of Lima; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, Keith "Harry" Harrod, Kettlersville, Ohio, Darren Sharp, New Bremen, Scott Newberry, Wapakoneta, Eric Grimm, Kettlersville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Elmer Davis presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta, where military honors will be presented at the graveside by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
