AREA DEATHS
CAROLYN IRENE JEFFERY
Miss Carolyn Irene Jeffery, age 49 , a resident of Arjay, Ky., 
passed away August 11, 1985 at Pineville Community hospital. 
She was born May 16, 1936 in Bell County Ky., the daughter of the late 
John Jeffery and Hazel Onkst who survives. She was a believer in the 
Holiness Faith. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Hazel Onkst, 
Arjay, Ky., two brothers, Mr. Howard Jeffery, Pineville and 
Mr. Harold Jeffery, Norwood, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Reva Greer, 
Pineville, Ky., Mrs. Margie Woolum, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, 
Miracle, Ky., Mrs. Maxine Garland, Pineville and Mrs. Diane Mays, 
Florence Ky.; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted 
for Miss Carolyn Irene Jeffery Tuesday, August 13 at the Durham Funeral 
Home Chapel, with the Rev. George Neal, and Ed Hoskins officiating, 
burial was in Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Friends of the family were 
pallbearers and Dr. Talmadge Hays was honorary pallbearer. Durham 
Funeral Home of Pineville was in charge of arrangements.
