She was born June 30, 1921 in Manchester, Ky., the daughter of the late Peter LYTTLE and Ellen GIBS LYTTLE. She was a member of the Gereral Assembly Church of God of Middlesboro, Ky. She is survived by 3 sons: George MAYS, Paul Kelly MAYS and Michael MAYS, all of Pineville; 3 daughters: Mary MAYS and Mrs. Barbara WADDELL, both of Pineville; Mrs. Robena CHATTMAN, Trotwood, Ohio; 1 brother, Kelly LYTTLE Pineville; 2 sisters: Mrs. Alice MACK, Pineville; Mrs. Rosetta PULLIAM, Memphis, Tenn.; 2 grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. MAYS will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 1985 at Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Charlie THOMAS and Michael FERGUSON officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallsend Cemetery, Pineville, Ky. The family is receiving friends after 12 Noon Saturday until the hour of the funeral. Durham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Sun-Courier, Thursday, October 10, 198? (5) Demous McGEORGE Mr. Demous McGEORGE, age 51, of Calvin, Ky., passed away at his home October 2, 1985 of an apparent heart attack. Mr. McGeorge was a self-employed equipment operator and was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle. He was born in Bell County April 26, 1934 to the late Matthew McGEORGE and Rachel WILDER McGEORGE. Left to mourn his passing are: his mother, Mrs. Rachel WILDER McGEORGE, Pineville; his wife, Barbara Sue McGEORGE, Calvin; two daughters, Nicole and April McGEORGE, both of Calvin; one son, R. B. McGEORGE, Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Shriley EARLY, Miracle; Faye CLARK, Middlesboro; and Darlene MALICOTE, Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Roy McGEORGE, Miracle; and one grandchild, Michelle McGEORGE, Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 5, 1985 at 1: 00 p.m. at the Arnett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis HOSKINS, Jr. and the Elder Eugene WILDER officiating. Hazel Woolum Miller Source: Pineville Sun, Thursday, April 28, 1988 Hazel Woolum Miller, age 72, a resident of Pineville, Kentucky, died Friday, April 22, 1988 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born June 17, 1915 in Bell County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Boyd Woolum and Mary knuckles Woolum. She believed in the Baptist faith. She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Mary Johnson, Arjay, Kentucky, Orate J. Miller, East Pineville, Kentucky, Claude Miller, Log Mountain, Pineville, Ky., Bobby Ray Miller, Pineville, Ky., Phillip Miller, Oaks, Oklahoma, Estil Miller, and Donald Ray Napier both of East Pineville, Ky.: one brother, L. J. Woolum, Richmond, Ind,; one sister, Mrs Beulah Moreland, Corbin, Ky., twenty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Miller were Monday, April 25, 1988 at the Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Sinkhorn. Burial followed in Big Jim Cemetery, Arjay, Kentucky. Nasby "N.B." Mills Source: Pineville Sun-Courier, Friday, June 6, 1990 Obituary. Nasby Mills, age 98, of Mills, Kentucky, died Monday, July 2, 1990 in the Pineville Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Mill of Crockett, Ky., which was then Harlan County, and the former Alice Emaline Messer Mills of Knox Co. He was born in Mills, Ky., on January 15,1892. Mr Mills was a member, deacon and former treasurer of the Salem Baptist Church at Mills, Ky. He was a retired Postmaster at Mills. Also a farmer, a saw and gristen mill owner a Mills, and was a school teacher in the Knox County School System, having taught at Shady Grove, Scalf, Salt Gum, and Messer. He was also a merchant and storekeeper for seventy-three years all at Mills having operated N. B. Mills General Store in the same location. On November 19, 1914, he united in marriage with Martha Elizabeth "Lizzy" Jackson at the home of her father Dan Jackson at Scalf, Ky. And to this union six children were born. His loving wife, Lizzie preceded him in death on December 3, 1978. Two sons, Oscar and Leon, three sisters, Dora Horn, Martha Carnes and Rosie Warfield and four brothers, Noah, Walter, Benjamin and Oscar Mills all preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters, Beulah Mae Davis and Mrs. Oliver (Lola) Baker, both of Mills, Ky.; two sons, C. Hobert Mills, of Mills, Ky., Nasby Mills Jr. of Detroit, Mich.; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Hone Chapel, Wednesday, July 4, 1990, with Rev. Tim Holbart Mills, a great grandson of Mr. Mills, and Rev. W.B. Bingham II, Pastor of the Binghamtown Baptist Church. Interment was in the Mills Cemetery at Mills, Ky. Pallbearers were Walter Waefield, Bert King, Doug Hicks, Terry Carnes, Mike Stevens, James E. Mills Jr., Nasby Mills III, and Jerry Lee Mills. Sawyer A. Mills Source: Pineville Sun, Thursday, September 29, 1988 Obituary. Sawyer A. Mills, age 95, a resident of Pineville, Kentucky, died Monday, September 26, 1988 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born February 25, 1893 at A. Y.., Kentucky, the son of the late A. Y. Mills and Nancy Carnes Mills. He was joined in Holy Matrimony at Artemus, Kentucky, to Miss Fanny Marsee, daughter of James and Miranda Myrick Marsee. He was a retired school superintendent and was associated with the Bell County School System for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1982. He is survived by five children, Dr. Shirley Mills, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Dr. Harold Mills, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Mrs. Jean Pearson, College Hill, Kentucky, Dr. Buell Mills, Pineville, Kentucky and Mrs. Faye Wells, Lexington, Kentucky: many nieces and nephews, thirteen grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Mills were Wednesday, September 28, !988 at the Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W. B. Bingham. Burial followed in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery.
