JOE ELMER RHODES
 
    Joe Elmer Rhodes, 92, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2003 
at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.  He was born in Ingram on 
June 22, 1911 to the late Will and Venie Mays Rhodes.  He had been a coal 
miner.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eula 
Grace Funson Rhodes, son, Gene Rhodes, daughter, Joyce Rhodes Long, grandson, 
Anthony Gene Long.
    Survivors include his daughters, Wanda Lee Faulkner and Wilma Jo Stewart, 
both of Pineville, granddaughters, Deborah Jo McGregor and Krystal Stewart 
Keyes; grandsons, Terry McGregor of Defiance, OH, Duane Stewart of Pineville, 
Bryan Stewart of Williamsburg and Frankie Gambrel of Pineville and a host of 
great-grandchildren.
    Graveside services were Tuesday at the Funson Chapel Cemetery with Rev. 
Paul Gibson.
    Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Rhodes 
Family.
