SQUIRE SAYLOR
 
    Squire Saylor, 88, of Kettle Island, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2003 
at his home.  He was born on August 30, 1914 in Bell County, KY to Solomon and 
Susie Saylor.  He was a member of the Stoney Fork Community Pentecostal Church 
and had worked in the Logging industry as a timber cutter.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mossie Saylor, daughter, 
Emmy Saylor, brothers, Wilburn and Otis Saylor and son-in-law, Tommy Brock.
    Survivors include his sons, Joe Saylor of Jenson, Sol (Phronia) Saylor of 
Kettle Island, Lester (Louise) Saylor of Kettle Island, Walter (Audrey) Saylor 
of Kettle Island, Reed Saylor of Kettle Island and Stanley (Louise) Saylor of 
Kettle Island; daughters, Shirley Brock of Stoney Fork, Charlote Mahurin of 
Indianapolis, IN and Bonnie (Mark) Mahurin of Kettle Island; brothers, Willie 
B. Saylor of Knightstown, IN and Andrew Saylor of Stoney Fork; sisters, Laura 
Saylor of Dayton, OH and Betty Mills of Stoney Fork; seventeen grandchildren, 
20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, 
nephews and friends.
    Services were at Monday, April 21, 2003 at the Stoney Fork Community 
Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mark Mahurin, Rev. Jeff Baker and Rev. Walter 
Saylor.  Burial was in the Ben's Branch Cemetery at Stoney Fork.  Grandsons 
served as pallbearers.
    Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Saylor 
Family.
