Medical Center. He was born September 6, 1919 in Bell County Kentucky. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He loved gardening and wood working. Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, Julia Ann and Clarence Symons; infant daughter, Julia Mac Symons; infant son, Robert Edgar Symons, Jr.; sisters, Estelle Ridenour and Alice "Doll" Adams and son-in-law, Randall Phillip McBee. Survivors: wife, Aliene Symons of Clinton, TN; son, E.L. "Buddy" Symons of Lake City, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and John Burnette of Kokomo, IN; Cheryl and Charlie Childs of Greentown, IN; daughter, Wanda McBee of Kokomo, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Claira Symons of Winchester, VA; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; special friends, Brenda King, Clayton Hill, Donnie Summers and family. Family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 1999 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home.
