She was born in Slusher, KY on February 27, 1917 a daughter of the late Harvey and Sarah Slusher Stewart. She was a member of the Victory Missionary Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Roark and Linda Stewart, brothers, Jesse and Eva Stewart, nephews, Jerry and Gary Stewart and niece, Devonya Stewart. Survivors include her husband, Palestine Wendell Woolum, brother and his wife, Ebb and Mary Stewart, special friend, James Miller, special nieces, Judy Baker and Betty Collins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services were Friday, June 27, 2003, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. James Polly, Rev. Danny Robbins and Rev. Luther Collett. Music was by the Victory Missionary Baptist Church Singers. Burial was in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Pallbearers were her nephews. Honorary pallbearers were S.B. and Stella Gambrel, Dr. and Mrs. LeFeuvre, Charlie Baker and Albert L. Collins. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Woolum Family.
