She was born on August 21, 1918, in Knox County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Harvey and Bertie Taylor Morris. She attended Union College, graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor of science degree and earned her master's degree at the University of Kentucky. Mrs. Wilson taught at Pineville High School and Bell County High School, and had several students who won state-wide math contests under her direction. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pineville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a siser, Marjorie Miracle; and a brother, Cecil Morris. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Ford Wilson, whom she married on October 4, 1940; sisters, Joanne Morris and Eva (Kelso) Dunn, all of Lexington, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Frances Morris of Pineville and Jeannette Farley; brother-in-law, Vernon Wilson; nephew and niece, Clifford Ray and June Morris; and great-niece, Mary Joyce Morris, Corbin, Kentucky; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and many former students. Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Howard presiding. Music will be by Ginny Farley. Burial will be in the Barbourville Cemetery, Barbourville, Knox County, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be: John Slusher, Colby Slusher, Steve Farley, Gene Cameron Farley, Rex Miller, Jimbo Helton, Richard Valentine, Virgil Barnette, David Gambrell, Milton Brooks, Mike Asher and Mike Mills. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Pineville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM, Thursday, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
