The Sun-Courier, Thursday, October 19, 1989 Lillie F. Asher-- Lillie F. Asher, age 83, died Tuesday, October 10, 1989 at the Pineville Community Hospital following a long illness. She was born December 5, 1905, in Black Mountain, KY., the daughter of the late Albert and Julie Farley. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pineville. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Mrs. Asher is survived by: her husband, Jack Asher, Pineville; eight nieces, Helen Seale, Harrogate, TN., Lillie Fletcher, Evarts, KY., Oakley Hale, Baxter, KY., Janice Helfenberger, Owensboro, KY., Helen Colquett, Rockford, IL., Kathleen Farley, Baltimore, MD., Pauline Farley, Sykesville, MD., Carolyn Farley, San Diego, CA; and one nephew, Ronald Farley, Rockford, IL. Services were at the Arnett Funeral Home, Thursday, October 12, with the Rev. Charles F. Jones. Music was by Annette Walden. Burial was in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Armand Chandler, James Golden, E.O. Asher, John Turpin, Paul Akers, and Bill Madden. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. James S. Golden, Dr. Steven K. Morgan, Phillip Ball and Melvin Burnside. Arnett-Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was in charge of arrangements.
