Mrs,Mahala Asher,83 years old,died at the home of County Judge D.M. Bingham here Wednesday following and illness due to the infirmities of age.Mrs,Asher,who was well known throughout the county,was a sister of Jim Howard,former Bell County jailor,Funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon and burial will take place on Breastworks Hill under direction of N.T.Arnett and Son.She is survived by one sister,Mrs,Mary Howard and three children,George,Elisha and Mrs.Sue Taylor.
