     PINEVILLE--Mrs,Mary Asher,96,of Pine Street,died Thursday,Aug.15 at pineville Community Hospital after a brief illness.
 She was a native of Bell County and daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs.Wilk Asher,Mrs.Asher,the wife of the late George Asher,was a member of the Church of God.
   Surviving are three daughters,Mrs,Mossie Bailey and Mrs.Jessie Mae Helton,Crestline,Ohio,and Mrs,Sudie Napier,Pineville;a son Oakle Asher,Crestline;Ohio,a sister,Mrs,Betsy Smallwood,Knox County,eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral service were conducted Sunday,Aug,18 at the Pentacostal church of God with the Rev,W.B. Bingham,the Rev,George Neal and the Rev.Ed Idle officiating Burial was in Pineville Memorial Cemetery,Friday of the family served  as pallbearers.
                 Arnett Funeral Home was in Charge of  arrangements.
