GERTRUDE BAILEY
 
Gertrude Bailey, 64, a long time Bell County resident passed away 
Friday, August 17, 2001 at the Pineville Community Hospital.  She was 
born on June 10, 1937 in Mill Creek to the late Letcher and Hila Mae 
Baker Bailey.  She was a believer in the Pentecostal Faith.
     In addition to the parents, she was preceded in death by a 
brother, Andrew J. Bailey.
    Survivors include her three brothers, Harvey and Walter Bailey, 
both of Mill Creek and Melvin (Tishie) Bailey of Stoney Fork, and a 
host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Lucile Bailey of Michigan, other 
relatives and friends.
    Services were held Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with 
Rev. George Neal and Rev. David Rice.  Music will be by Kevin Wilson.  
Burial followed in the Bailey Cemetery at Mill Creek.  Pallbearers were 
Bill Bailey, Harvey Lee Bailey, Will Bailey, Robert Young, Luke Helton, 
Arnold Lawson and Mike Sporles.
    Arnett & Steele Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
