Harold (Cotton) BAILEY 
Harold (Cotton) BAILEY, 64, former Pineville resident, died Friday, May 15, at 
his residence in Kenansville, Fla., after a five month illness. He was born 
October 7, 1922 in Bell County.  He was the son of the late James BAILEY and 
Minnie (DYER) BAILEY. He remained in Bell County and Pineville until 8 years 
ago, at which time he moved to Florida. .He was a member of the Church of Christ 
in Kissimmee, Fla., and also a former member of the Pineville Lions Club. During 
his career, he owned and operated the cable T.V. service and also had several 
real estate holdings in Pineville. Survivors include his wife, Carlie Mae 
(WILDER) BAILEY; one daughter, Linda McGAFFEE, Cumberland Gap; one, Lyle BAILEY, 
Middlesboro; two grandchildren, Carla Beth BAILEY and Courtney Blair BAILEY, 
both of Middlesboro; one sister, Pauline MIRACLE, Kettle Island, Ky.; plus a 
host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding him in death were his 
parents and a brother, Clyde BAILEY. Services were Monday at 2 p.m. at the 
Arnett Funeral Home with the Revx. Paul GIBSON and Dale TURNER officiating. 
Interment was at the Pineville Memorial Cemetey. Pallbearers were Dr. Virgil 
SLUSHER, Dr. C.C. MICKEY, Garrett TAYLOR, Charles HALE, Paul NAPIER, Frank 
PIERCE, Arlus MIRACLE, James WALTERS.  Honorary pallbearers were Dr. David 
ASHER, Charlie CARDWELL, Paul GIBSON, Jimmy WILSON, Fred BUSH, the Rev. Charles 
F. JONES, Clarence CONATSER, Hascue PANNELL, Bill JOHNSON and Dido STEWART. 
Arnett Funeral Home of Pineville was in charge of arrangements.
