Arnett & Steele Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Alberta Baker, 61 2/2/2002 PINEVILLE - Alberta Baker, 61, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Pike County, Ky., on Sept. 12, 1940, a daughter of the late Hascue and Myrtle Hurley. She was a member of the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church and had been a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Evelyn Hurley and brothers Edward and Junior Hurley. Survivors include husband, Rev. Hubert Baker of Pineville; children Angela (Robin) Saylor of Virginia, Lisa (David) Messer of Tennessee and Anthony (Barbara) Baker of Pineville; grandchildren Adam Saylor, Brandon and Aaron Baker; step-grandchildren Zachary Lane Messer, Brandon Paul and Logan Ross Gilbert; sister Audrey Hurley of Corbin; brother Cecil Hurley of Pineville; niece Charlene Collett; nephew Paul Wilder and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church with Rev. Leon Baker, Rev. Thea O. Carter and Rev. Gary Cornelius. Music will be by friends. Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Pallbearers will be Adam Saylor, Robin Saylor, David Messer, Brandon Baker, Hascue Hurley, Lloyd Hurley, Cecil Hurley and Frank Hurley. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
