Edna Stewart Baker
Edna Stewart Baker, 78, of Speedwell, TN passed away Sunday, July 7 2002 at the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, TN. She was born in Wasioto, KY on May 28, 1924 the daughter of the late James and Nancy Wilson Stewart. She had been a homemaker, a believer of the Baptist faith and attended Shady Grove Baptist Chruch in Speedwell, TN. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Betty Hembree, brothers Colson, Dan, and John Stewart, sisters Ida Napier, Georgia Stewart, and Ethel Olzowaski. Suvivors include her children Rodney & Anna Baker, Larry & Christine Baker, Soloman & Vivian Baker Jr. all of Speedwell, TN, Judy and David Hendrickson of Avon Park, FL, Ida & Dan Elliott of Lexington, KY and Dallas and Suzy Baker of Calvin, KY; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Keck. Burial was at Oak Dale Cemetery, Brownies Creek. Pallbearers were her grandsons. The family received friends Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of all arrangements.
