Arthur Brock--
  Arthur Brock, 77, of Calvin, KY., died Thursday, April 21, 1988 at the 
Pineville Community Hospital following a long illness. He was born March 2, 
1911, in Bell County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Grant Brock.  He was a retired 
custodian from the Vocational School and had been a lifelong resident of Bell 
Co.  He was a believer in the Pentecostal faith.  He is survived by his wife, 
Pearl Proffitt Brock,
Corbin; one daughter, Debbie Gail Gabbard, Corbin; two step-daughters, Betty 
Hayes, Corbin, KY., and Mary Ellen Saylor, OH; two sons, Jimmy Ray Brock and 
Arthur Henry Brock, both of Corbin; one grandson, Henry Lee Proffitt, Corbin; 
and several half-sisters and half-brothers. Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, 
April 24, 1988 at the Arnett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Gaylor and 
Rev. Bill Sinkhorn.  Burial was in the Capito Cemetery, Rock Hollow, KY.  Music 
for the service was
provided by Rev. Bill Sinkhorn and Jack Elliott.
