She was born March 22, 1922 in Leslie Co., KY., the daughter the late Amon Brock and Susie Caldwell Brock. She was a believer in the Holiness faith and was a member of Kale Saylor’s Holiness Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clifford Brock. Survivors include: her husband, Hobert Brock, Stoney Fork, KY; six sons, Verlan Brock, Barbourville, KY., James Brock, Kettle Island, KY., Theo Brock, Chicago, IL., Cecil Brock, WV., Robert Brock, East Pineville, KY., Charles Brock, Harlan, KY; four daughters, Marie Sawka, KY., Lucy Napier, Streamwood, IL., Vestina Brock and Jewell Grubbs, both of Kettle Island, KY; two brothers, James Brock, Whitesburg, KY., and Plese Brock, Broadhead, KY; two sisters, Mahalia Caldwell, Wallins Creek, KY., and Elizabeth Smitty, OH; thirty grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Services were conducted Friday, April 27, 1990 at 2 p.m. at Kale Saylor’s Holiness Church, Kettle Island, KY. The service was conducted by the Rev. Kale Syalor, Rev. Wilkie Saylor and the Rev. Ronnie Hoskins. Interment was in the Saylor Cemetery at Stoney Fork, KY. Pallbearers were friends of the family. Durham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
