Brock Sr., 60 MIDDLESBORO - Walter Ray Brock Sr., 60, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. He was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Bell County, a son of Wayne Brock and Ethel Brock of Middlesboro, who survive. He was a member of Shipley Grove Baptist Church, and was a former employee of Mountain Drive Coal Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley D. Brock on April 29, 2000; and three sisters, Helen Brock, Mabel Brock, and Thelma Jean Brock. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Keith Epperson, Tazewell, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Walter Ray Brock Jr. and Kim, Tazewell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Carolyn Brock, Ewing, Va., Roy and Cathy Brock, Middlesboro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Daryl Longworth, Middlesboro, Katherine Frost, Palm Beach, Fla., Margie and David Wyatt, Middlesboro; granddaughters, Sabrina and husband Ernie Parsons, Tazewell, Tabitha Brock, Tazewell, Jessica Brock, Tazewell; grandsons, Cameron Brock, Tanner Brock, Tazewell, Michael Brock, Tazewell; and one great-granddaughter, Hayley Parsons, Tazewell. Funeral services were to be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Shumate Funeral Home with the Revs. Danny Breeding and Billy Gaylor presiding. Music was to be provided by the Church Valley American Christian. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were to be Odell Hoskins, Terry Weaver, Chuck Partin, Wayne McFall, Arnold Ingram, and Shirl Dooley. Shumate Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
