She was born May 3, 1914, in Sneedville, Tenn., a daughter of the late Moss and Haley Purkey Clonce. She was a member of Gibson Station Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Clay and Bill Clonce; two sisters, Mae Rhymer and Alpha West; and two sons, Billy Ray and Jimmy Denny. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Fred) Feller, Speedwell, Tenn., Ann (Lee) Bailey, Ewing; two sons, Alvin (Judy) Denny, and John F. (Patricia) Denny, all of Lafayette, Ind.; one brother, Homer Clonce, Lafayette, Ind.; three sisters, Sarah Warf, Jurleen Warf, both of Lafayette, Ind., and Mary Warf, Ewing; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Preston Smith presiding. Music will be provided by Luenette Smith. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery at Ewing. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. today at Creech Funeral Home, which is in charge of all arrangements.
