WAYNE, Ind. - Stanley W. York, 75, passed away Monday, May 13, 2002, in Ft. Wayne. Born in Rome, Ga., he was a laborer with Moellering Construction for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was also a coal miner in Middlesboro, and attended Bethel Baptist Church. He was a member of Labor Union #213, and enjoyed bowling and baseball, and loved the Lord and his family. He was preceded in death by his father, George York. Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen of Ft. Wayne; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Calvin Spice of Ft. Wayne; grandsons, Dustin and Brandon Spice, both of Ft. Wayne; granddaughter-in-law, Brandy Spice of Ft. Wayne,; mother, Delia York of Ft. Wayne, and twin sister, Mae Caine of Ft. Wayne; three brothers, Earl, Willard, and Kenneth, all of Ft. Wayne; four sisters, Helen Gilbert, Marylee Zell, and Wanda McCue, all of Ft. Wayne, and Jean Breidert of Largo, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the family. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Ft. Wayne, Ind. Memorials are suggested to the family. Arrangements by D.O.
