Know Ye that I Samuel Vandigrift for and in consideration of the love, good will, and affection which I have to and bear toward my beloved son Charles Vandigrift of Bourbon County and State of Kentucky have given and granted and by these presents do freely, clearly and absolutely give and grant to my said son Charles Vandigrift, his heirs executors -------- all and singular my goods,ready money, household stuff, implements, leases to me belonging to wit; three mares, three stud colts, two cows, nine head of hogs, two feather beds with furniture and furniture for one bed, half a dozen pewter plates, a small bason, a large pewter dish, a large bason, and a small sized dish, a ten gallon kettle, a pot containing about five or six gallons, an oven containing about three gallons, a small oven containing nearly three gallons, two rifle guns, a plough and irons, a wire sieve, three axes, spinning wheel, a log chain, a hand saw, four augers, one spade, an iron wedge, four clevisis, and all my lands and all my other property whatever which I may justly claim as in right my own, whether alive or dead, as well movable or things immovable, both real and personal, in whose hands and custody and possession so ever they be or whereever the same or any of them or any part of them can or may now or hereafter be found remaining or being as well in the messuages or tenement with the appurtenances wherein I now dwell or in any place or messuage whatsoever To have and to hold the said goods, ready money, household stuff, implements, leases to me belonging to wit; three mares, three stud colts, two cows, nine head of hogs, two feather beds with furniture and furniture for one bed, half a dozen pewter plates, a small bason, a large pewter dish, a large bason, and a small sized dish, a ten gallon kettle, a pot containing about five or six gallons, an oven containing about three gallons, a small oven containing nearly three gallons, two rifle guns, a plough and irons, a wire sieve, three axes, spinning wheel, a log chain, a hand saw, four augers, one spade, an iron wedge, four clevisis and all my land and crops of grain, flax and hemp raised on said lands or tenements aforesaid, unto the said Charles Vandigraft [sic] his heirs executors ------ from henceforth as his and their proper goods forever absolutely without any manner of condition as I the said Samuel Vandigraft [sic] have absolutely and of my own accord set and put in further testimony.
