Thompson, of Paris, bought of Mr. Wm. H. Whaley, Jr., 414 acres of land located on the Paris and Ruddles Mills pike, near Paris, for $41,500. C. T. Hough of Ruddles Mills, recently sold a 2 year old gelding and a filly colt to Newt Rankin of Carlisle, for $175. A. T. Moffett, of near Millersburg, bought nine head of yearling cattle from John O'Connel, of Nicholas County at 6 cents per pound. Of last Wednesday night burglars entered the home of Rev. George Harris in Paris and extracted $3.50 from his trousers. On the same evening they went to the home of Mr. Mr. G. D. Steenbergen, next door to the Harris home, where they secured $2.50. Married-- Miss Janie Paynter, of Paris, and Mr. Thomas Padgett of Ruddles Mills Sept. 11. Died -- Robert De Jarnett, aged 79 years, of this county at the home of his daughter at Taylorsville.
