Mabel NEAL WATSON 13 Jan. 1972, Thursday Mrs. Mabel Neal Watson, 77, of 317 West Seventh Street, died at 6:20 a.m. Saturday at the Bourbon County Hospital, where she had been a patient for several weeks. She had been in declining health for the past four years and seriously ill the past nine weeks. A native of Bracken County, she was the daughter of the late Willmard and Gracie L. Waters Neal. She was educated in the Robertson County schools. She was the widow of Robert W. Watson. She was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church here and was president of the Darlington Bible Class of the church's Sunday School and was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church. She was a past matron of Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star and had been a member of the chapter for 51 years. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. William Long and Mrs. Jack Lucky, both of Paris; and Miss Marjorie K. Watson, Lake Placid, N. Y.; a son Willmard (Bud) Watson, paris; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Dr. C. Nevil White and the Rev. I. S. Pineur. Burial was in the Paris Cemetery.
