Cincinnati Post October 27, 1953
A fugitive charge against Buster Stevens, chief of police of Newtown, was 
dismissed by Judge Dennis J. Ryan in Criminal Court yesterday at the request of 
Sheriff Dan Tehan.  The charge was based on a child desertion indictment 
against Stevens in Pike County, Kentucky, Circuit Court.  Kentucky officials 
notified Tehan that the charge, involving the support of a child by a previous 
marriage, had been withdrawn.  Louis Ginocchio attorney for Stevens, said the 
father had made a financial settlement with his former wife, who caused the 
indictment.
