H. Hankes in Ashland, Sunday afternoon. She had been ill for several weeks. She was nearly 86 years old having been born at Blaine, in Lawrence County on the 24th day of June 1848. Her maiden name was Rebecca Perlina Walter. She was first married to B. F. Holbrook at Blaine in 1879. She and her first husband, who was an attorney moved to Decatur, TX,, where they lived until he died in 1881. After his death she returned to Kentucky and in 1883 was married to William H. Woods with whom she lived until his death in 1912. Her surviving children are K. Holbrook, of Ashland, Harlan E. Woods, Ratcliff, Lawrence County, Charles Ezra Woods, Detroit, MI, Mrs. Sallie W. Hankes, Ashland and Walter T. Woods, Ashland. The members of the family at her bedside when she passed away were her daughter, Sallie W. Hankes and stepchildren, Mrs. A.S. Doty and John W. Woods. Funeral service was held at Webbville at Tuesday and interment made there.
